Georgia Lavers is the Project Coordinator for Decarbonisation and Biomanufacturing at Greater Whitsunday Alliance (GW3), the economic development body for the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday region. A key part of her role involves leading Decarbonisation Accelerated – an award‑winning regional initiative that brings industry, government and community together to support practical, capability‑building pathways toward a low‑emissions future.

In her role, Georgia works with regional stakeholders to build capability, develop practical emissions‑reduction pathways, and strengthen the region’s readiness for a low‑emissions future.

With a background in environment and sustainability and a passion for place‑based transition planning, Georgia brings a collaborative, systems‑focused approach to helping shape a future‑ready Greater Whitsunday region.
