As Global Head of Organisational Capability and Talent at Woodside Energy, Scott is accountable for talent and capability strategy across the company’s global footprint. His remit includes oversight of Woodside’s highly regarded Australian Graduate Development Program and the recently launched U.S. early career pathways programs. An engineer by background, Scott began his career in the oil and gas industry with ExxonMobil in 2006 before joining Woodside in 2012. He has held a broad range of roles across the operator value chain, including Operations, Engineering, Projects, Business Advisory, Cybersecurity and Audit. This breadth of experience, combined with a strong passion for leadership and genuine interest in people, underpins his transition into Human Resources. Scott views oil and gas as the “coolest gig in town” and is particularly energised by the opportunity to use data and insights within the capability space to inform better workforce and talent decisions.
