Sean Robertson is a Chartered Nuclear Engineer and Senior Consultant at ALARP Solutions, specialising in nuclear propulsion and nuclear safety and regulatory assurance for complex, high-consequence systems.

Sean served for over 12 years as a Marine Engineer Officer in the Royal Navy’s Submarine Service, serving on Trafalgar and Astute Class attack submarines, where he led the marine engineering department and held direct responsibility for reactor and propulsion plant safety. He also served as Senior Lecturer in Operational Reactor Physics at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom’s Nuclear Faculty, delivering postgraduate nuclear technology and safety management courses to a range of stakeholders within the UK’s defence nuclear enterprise.

At ALARP Solutions, Sean applies his operational background to the development of safety programs and assurance frameworks across Defence and emerging energy sectors.
