Ryan brings over 20 years of experience in the energy industry, following 11 years of service in the British Army. He has held positions with Subsea 7, Siemens, Oceaneering, PDi, and the National Subsea Centre, building wide-ranging expertise in subsea engineering, electrical distribution, and underwater robotics.

Throughout his career, he has managed major client accounts, led project and sales teams, and contributed to complex subsea operations including ROV intervention, pipeline repair, and electrical distribution systems. At the National Subsea Centre, Ryan worked with both industry and academia to identify technology gaps and design research programmes that drive innovation across the sector.

As Business Development Director at J+S Subsea, he combines his technical background with commercial acumen to strengthen partnerships, develop new opportunities, and support the successful delivery of client projects worldwide.
