With over three decades experience, Neil was appointed as CEO of Subsea UK in 2011 which transitioned into the GUH in 2021. He led the organisation in discussions with political and industry stakeholders about the future of the industry and the support required to maintain the UK’s world-leading position through the energy transition.
His early career started in subsea as a commercial diver and also developed his own business ventures. More laterally he had experience in expanding operations across India, the Middle East, and Brazil. Prior to his current role he was General Manager at the National Hyperbaric Centre, where he developed business streams encompassing hyperbaric trials, testing, training and saturation diving operations.
Having held several board positions, he is currently a member of the NSTA regulator Supply Chain and Exports Task Force as well as DaRT (Decommissioning and Repurposing Task Force).
