James Keating

Dr. James Keating is a Principal Marine Scientist at Hydrobiology with over 15 years of experience in environmental monitoring, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), and regulatory approvals across a range of sectors, including offshore renewables, ports, mining, oil & gas, commercial fishing, and construction. He holds a PhD in Marine Ecology and is actively involved in industry groups such as PIANC, Subsea Energy Australia, the Australian Marine Science Association, and the Australian Society for Fish Biology.
James has presented at key conferences, including AOG in 2023 and 2024, sharing his expertise on the environmental challenges faced by offshore wind and other marine industries. His work focuses on integrating global insights and local knowledge to address complex marine environmental issues, particularly through data-driven solutions like Marine Spatial Planning.
