Graham Gillies is the Vice President of Asia Pacific for Baker Hughes, based
in Perth, Australia. In this role, he is responsible for leading the growth of the
region, by identifying and partnering to develop projects in the energy
transition including Geothermal, Hydrogen, CCUS and decarbonisation, he
is responsible for driving synergies across the horizontal portfolio,
delivering value to customers, and expanding our presence in the industrial
and in new frontiers.
Graham has been in the energy industry for 28 years, with extensive
experience across the upstream segment, in both offshore and onshore
developments. He started his career at VetcoGray in 1991 and has held
various roles in engineering, project controls, services, and commercial
leadership across the organization.
In his most recent role as the VP of Oilfield Equipment for Asia-Pacific and
India as well as the VP of Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea
(ANP), he successfully positioned Baker Hughes as a key technology leader
in the LNG and energy industry, working closely with government and
industry stakeholders to develop partnerships for sustainable business
outcomes.
Graham holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechatronics from Abertay
University in Scotland.
