Data to Dollars: Decarbonization and the Energy Transition

Upstream and LNG expansions will account for over $100 B of investments in 2026. We need to extend hydrocarbon supply into next decade with the high-return oil projects amid strong post-pandemic demand and geopolitics. As important is LNG export growth, the financial priority to meet near-term demand and replace coal. At the same time, rising regulatory and stakeholder pressure will push us to decarbonize operations and products.
