EXA Event App FAQs

The Energy Exchange Australia event app, sponsored by Binder Group, will be the hub for agenda sessions, exhibitor information and intelligent networking. Keep track of the agenda, manage your own personal schedule and book relevant 1:1 meetings. Prepare for an elevated experience onsite at Energy Exchange Australia!

The event and networking app is powered by Brella.

You should have a unique invitation link in your email to sign up for Brella.

Then we suggest you:
1. Download the app on Google Play or App Store
2. Create your profile or login to your existing account through the link we’ve sent to you by email
3. Set up your networking profile and book your first meetings

 Where can I download the event app?
The event app is available to download via the App Store and Google Play. Simply search for the event name and install the app to your device. You can sign in or create an account via the app or use your invite link that was emailed through to you.

How do I login to the app?
If you have used Brella before, you can use the same account for this event. If it’s your first time, you will need to create an account.

• To initiate set up, enter your email address or click the invite link found in your email sent by the event team
• Follow the prompts to create an account
• Fill in your details and input a password
• Accept the T&C agreement
• You have successfully logged into Brella!

You need a join link or join code to join the event. Each event has a specific join code. You will receive the join code/join link in the registration or confirmation email prior to arriving onsite.

Once you have an account, you can log back into Brella any time through the web app or mobile app.

How do I schedule a meeting?
1. Scroll the list of your matches and then click “Chat/Suggest Meeting”
2. Profile card opens, then click “Chat” or “Suggest Meeting”
3. Find available time for the meeting and click “Select time”. Note you can also select the location for the meeting – Networking Lounge or at an Exhibitor stand?
4. Write a message and click “Send meeting request!”

Don’t forget to include a message with your request to let the other person know why you’re interested in meeting with them. Whilst the meeting is pending, you can send one follow-up message. Once the meeting has been accepted, the chat feature will re-open.

Visitors can schedule 1:1 meetings with Exhibitors.

What happens when I receive a meeting request?
You have the option to Accept, Decline or Reschedule the meeting.

How many meetings can I request?
The number of meetings you can request are limited to 20 for the duration of the event. However, if one meeting is declined, that is returned to your total number of requests. And remember, don’t leave the others hanging! Accept, reschedule or decline your pending meeting requests. Keep your meeting availability up to date through the Brella schedule.

What is the duration of each meeting slot?
Each meeting slot is 20minutes. With the first slot available from 9:30am.

How can I keep track of my schedule?
Choose “My Schedule” from the main menu bar along the bottom to see your schedule for the day. You can see the full event Agenda by selecting the prompt at the top.

Where do I find the Agenda?
1. Open the side navigation panel (three horizontal lines in the top left corner)
2. Select “Schedule”
3. Choose which day you would like to see the agenda for
4. Scroll down or across to browse all sessions
5. Bookmark the sessions you don’t want to miss by selecting the session then tapping the bookmark in the top right corner!

Bookmarked sessions will appear in your own personal schedule (found in “My Schedule”) and you can choose whether to be available for 1:1 meetings during this time or not.

Where do I find the list of Exhibitors?
From the side navigation panel, you can find “Exhibitors”. Here you can search by Company Name using the search bar or filter by category.

What other information can I find in the event app?
In the side navigation panel you have access to the Agenda, Speakers, Exhibitors, Product Directory, Floorplan, Sponsors and a list of all other attendees utilising the app. Time to start networking!
