As the oil and gas industry continues to transition, so too has AOG. From 2021 and beyond, what was the Australasian Oil & Gas Conference & Exhibition will now be AOG Energy, the cornerstone of a broader offering that focuses on both the energy transition and local capability and innovation.
Running across two days, 10 – 11 March 2021 at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre, AOG Energy will continue to connect the entire oil and gas supply chain – fostering opportunity and facilitating the promotion of Australia, particularly Western Australia, as a global leader. Throughout the forthcoming year, AOG Energy will also incorporate more than an exhibition and conference, with details on future initiatives to be released in due course. The exhibition will return to a three-day format from 2022 and beyond, while maintaining its renewed focus.
Announcing the changes today, Bill Hare, Commercial Director – Energy at Diversified Communications Australia said that “AOG has always been curated in partnership with industry and our major supporters to reflect the ever-changing nature of oil and gas. We are pleased to be able to continue collaborating with the industry so closely as our offering and the event evolves”.
“AOG Energy will remain a platform for innovation in all aspects; now with a renewed focus on the energy transition, including hydrogen, renewables and emissions reduction technology, and the importance of local capabilities in driving the industry forward”, said Hare.
“We know intricately the importance and impact that networking opportunities and face-to-face interaction at events like AOG Energy can have on driving business and growth”, Hare continues “While we are aware that international borders will likely remain closed into the new year, this presents a unique opportunity to unite the local industry and showcase the resilience, strength and capability that we offer. We are proud to be able to facilitate this, and support from our government and industry remains stronger than ever”.
“This transition also comes at a timely and exciting juncture for AOG Energy, with the transformation of the exhibition and conference occurring as we celebrate an important milestone for the event – its 40th year of connecting the industry” said Hare.
In 2021, AOG Energy will host a new Energy Transition Zone, continue to offer a free-to-attend conference with a significant focus on the energy transition, and multiple networking functions. Specific information regarding networking and the conference program will be made available in the coming months.
Running from 10 – 11 March 2021 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, the annual AOG Energy is the leading energy event in Australia, and a vehicle for collaboration. The free exhibition and conference brings together the entire supply chain – for a two-day showcase of local technology and services, with extensive networking opportunities.
