- Just over five months until AOG 2016
- Australia’s largest annual oil and gas event
- AOG 2016 one of the key industry gatherings on the global oil and gas calendar
- Major forum for the transfer of ideas and unveiling of game changing technologies
Registrations are now open for Australia’s largest oil and gas event, the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference (AOG) 2016.
Celebrating its 35th year AOG 2016 will bring together specialist companies from around the globe to exhibit their products, while the AOG 2016 Conference will feature a theme of “collaboration” with over 100 experts from leading companies providing input on how industry, government and other key stakeholders should continue to work closely together to reduce costs and improve productivity at a time of global crude oil price uncertainty.
“We have already received a strong take-up of exhibition space, have released a diverse and engaging conference program and we are fully expecting a strong turn out when we open the doors for the event next February,” AOG Event Director at Diversified Communications, Bill Hare, said.
“AOG has been around for a very long time and one thing we have noted during that period is that in junctures like this when the oil and gas industry has been affected by low commodity prices, major global gatherings like AOG remain must attend events.
“In a downturn there is nothing more critical than ensuring your name is out there and that you are being seen to be proactive by your clients and your peers – and that doesn’t just mean marketing of goods and services, with personal networking just as important and our large suite of networking events are sure to be popular.
“AOG’s record and reputation for being the best attended oil and gas exhibition and conference in Australia will ensure that the event will again attract strong support, both locally and internationally.”
AOG 2016 welcomes professionals from a broad range of specialist areas that support the global oil and gas sector.
The AOG 2016 Exhibition, which will be staged at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre (PCEC) over the three days from February 24 to 26, will include areas catering to the specialist nature of the oil and gas sector, including a Non-Destructive Testing & Condition Monitoring Asset Integrity Zone, an Instrumentation Control and Automation Zone, the world class Subsea Zone, a Health, Safety and Environment Zone and an Education, Research and Training Zone.
A new attraction to 2016 is the establishment of a dedicated Workboat Zone following a new partnership agreement between RINA (Royal Institution of Naval Architects) and AOG. Fixed and Floating Offshore Structures will also be a new stream of the two day AOG 2016 conference programme.
Following strong industry feedback, the AOG 2016 organisers have created a more flexible, cost effective conference programme which will explore practice and ideas, research and initiatives and will feature a major programme of presentations in the subsea area, and separate sessions on topics such as FLNG, Human Capital, Australian Industry Participation, Pipeline, Safety Risk and Integrity and many more.
Significant international participation has already been confirmed, with the 2016 event featuring a range of major international pavilions including Norway, China, Singapore, the USA and the UK – with AOG once again playing a critical role in the transfer of knowledge between the northern and southern hemispheres.
