With over 30 years of experience in the global energy sector, Jayne Baird is a seasoned executive and strategist specialising in driving growth, managing complex transformations, and navigating the energy transition. At Woodside Energy, Jayne spearheaded pioneering strategies that established and delivered three distinct portfolios: International Oil and Gas, Carbon Offsets, and CCS Storage. Her deep experience encompasses global, new and novel business development, compliance, climate and new energy strategies, and transition planning. Jayne was at Woodside Energy for 19 years, where she made a significant impact on the company’s strategic direction and portfolio expansion, most recently as VP Carbon Business. As VP for Africa, Europe, and the Americas, Jayne led Woodside’s Sangomar project in Senegal into Concept Select. As Head of Global New Ventures, she developed and executed growth strategies domestically and internationally, doubling Woodside’s net risked exploration portfolio. As Managing Director of Pointer Star Partners, Jayne leads a bespoke advisory firm that enables clients to thrive amid disruption and uncertainty. Her expertise spans strategic planning for sustainability, growth, pivot, and new market entry, including hands-on execution—with a proven track record of delivering high-impact, future-focused solutions across multiple portfolios.
