Highlights:
Registrations open for AOG 2015;
Biggest staging of historic event forecast;
FLNG to be a feature topic through special conference stream;
Strong interest already received from local and global oil & gas sector.
Floating LNG will be a major topic of conversation when the global oil and gas industry comes to Perth next March for the annual Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference (AOG).
Registrations are now open for Australia’s largest oil and gas event, the key event for the industry staged at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) from 11-13 March, 2015.
It will include an exciting new focus on Floating LNG headlined by Royal Dutch Shell to be staged on Day 2 of the world class oil and gas gathering.
Shell, which is at the forefront of the ground-breaking FLNG technology through its Prelude project off the north-west coast of Australia, will be strongly represented at AOG with keynote presentations by the company’s Vice President of Development, Neil Gilmour, and Shell Australia’s General Manager Production, Mark Schubert and Technology Manager, Clause Otto.
“We are very excited to be adding FLNG as a major conference topic at AOG 2015,” said Bill Hare, AOG Event Director at Diversified Communications.
“With Prelude scheduled to become the world’s first FLNG projects when it is commissioned in 2015, it is obviously a very current and very relevant topic for the global oil and gas industry. We are particularly pleased to have Shell’s strong support for our FLNG stream at AOG 2015,” Mr Hare said.
FLNG is seen by many as the best answer for the development of stranded and previously uncommercial gas fields. In the case of Prelude, studies have forecast that this innovate development will bring some $45 billion in benefits to Australia over the life of the project.
Building capabilities for the future of the Australian oil and gas sector through bringing together key thinkers and achievers from around the globe will be a key theme at AOG in 2015, and event organizer Diversified Communications is ensuring the event remains relevant with many thought leading inclusions.
The recent game changing Phoenix South-1 oil and gas discovery off the WA coast and an overview of the opportunities available in Timor-Leste will be the focus of two special industry lunches that have been added to the program for 2015.
The AOG Conference will also have a major focus on the “booming” subsea sector and will feature leaders of the global oil & gas industry coming together for two days of insight, debate and new thinking about the key issues impacting the sector.
The conference will also have a major focus on Australian content with presentations from contract specialists from leading project operating companies.
The AOG 2015 Exhibition, which will be staged at the PCEC over the three days of March 11 to 13, will include areas catering to the specialist nature of the oil and gas sector, including a Non-Destructive Testing & Condition Monitoring Zone, an Instrumentation Control and Automation Zone, a Subsea Zone, a Health, Safety and Environment Zone and an Education, Research and Training Zone.
Significant international participation – including exhibitors from over 20 countries – has already confirmed, with the 2015 event featuring a range of major international pavilions – with AOG once again playing a critical role in the transfer of knowledge between the northern and southern hemispheres.
Registration for AOG Exhibition is free for those employed within the industry.
